An evening written on water

On August 4, the garden changes tempo as daylight gives way to evening. By the pool, with lights reflected on the water, Glow Strings accompanies the brightest hour of the night with a live performance scheduled from 8:00 to 9:30 pm. The programme supplied by management is precise; no unconfirmed performers, instruments or artistic details have been added.

Alongside the music, a convivial dinner brings together members of the Carabinieri canine unit. The gathering is presented respectfully: their presence evokes the patient bond between handler and dog, built through training, trust and service. The Carabinieri describe canine units as supporting searches for missing people, humanitarian response and public safety work.

The day’s speciality is “Chianina beef tartare with fresh scorzone truffle”. Tuscan law identifies scorzone as Tuber aestivum, the summer black truffle: a seasonal ingredient that anchors the dish in its territory and in August. Music, table and water become the three movements of one evening.
